Overall Evaluation:
One major weakness was understanding the navigation between the frames on the prototype, and remembering the connections between the frames on the wire frame.
The use of different popular references were fun and captured what you tried to convey as well as integrating the goal of being more active with friends create a motivating social aspect to hold users accountable
AR is a great tangible interface to make the problem more tangible, interactive, and fun!
1.
[H6 Recognition rather than recall] (Severity 2) - 3 of us The "store" feature is only on one of the pages. It might be better for the user to have access to it from any page since it seems like it's a feature that can be used a lot.
2.
[H6 Recognition rather than recall] (Severity 2) - 1 of us The buttons for navigation can be redesigned in a way for users to recognize how to get to certain places in the app rather than remembering the number of clicks to get there or whether they should choose the left or right button to get there.
3.
[H6 Recognition rather than recall] (Severity 3) - 4 of us The "sell" button for the store is only available after you press the "buy" button. Maybe move the "sell" button to the main page of the shop?
4.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 2) - 2 of us The maps on the map page are a little confusing. Are there supposed to be two maps where one shows your location and the other is a friend's? Or, was the two maps there just to fill in space?
5.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 3) - 2 of us The user would expect to see all the items they've found in a central location. Does this app have that?
6.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 3) - 2 of us In the "buy" page, you can buy accessories for your avatar. Is there a dedicated page to customize your avatar and will you be able to see your avatar on the map?
7.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 4) - 1 of us
It looks straight forward what each screen does, but the navigation between screens could improve. For example, the sell button is inside the buy button. The button orientation changes when navigating between screens. Maybe a icon menu would work to solve this?
8.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 2) - 4 of us The map would show your location. Would the map also show people's avatars when they are also using the app and the user is nearby? Will it show the "mining items" nearby like Pokemon Go or is that what the radar is for?
9.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 3) - 4 of us What is the radar's purpose? Is it just the main "home" page that you see when you open the app? Is it like a sonar radar that tells you how relatively close you are to the "mining item"?
10.
[H2 Match between system and the real world ] (Severity 2) - 1 of us Trade Screen: Is the item in the row of the shovel an item the user put in there? If so, it might be good to indicate that by giving "me" a couple items in my row, and showing a gap there to show the user put one in there. Or, it might mean that that the shovel holding person is requesting a shell (?) in order to trade, it's unclear.
11.
[H2 Match between system and the real world] (Severity 1) - 1 of us Trade Screen: Is the text at the top from another player? Or is this the entity of a general shop I'm trading with? More of just a story question of how the shop works, either between players or just maybe a rotating shop display?
12.
[H9 Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors] (Severity 1) - 1 of us There was no place to recover from any errors. One place is if they accidentally sell something. Can the users buy it back?
13.
[H9 Help Users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors] (Severity 2) - 1 of us
Not really addressed. Could imagine there might be errors with mapping , or the buying/selling/trading process
14.
[H10 Help and documentation] (Severity 2) - 2 of us No help or documentation, and it might be difficult for a first time user to navigate the app.
15.
[H10 Help and documentation] (Severity 2) - 1 of us Buy / Sell Screens: It would be nice to have an example or two of what the items in the shop are, just so I know what the possibilities are. Same idea for the sell screen too.
16.
[H3 User Control and Freedom] (Severity 2) - 1 of us Shop Screen: There isn't a direct flow from the "Shop" screen to the radar screen, which can be a bit confusing initially, and make the user think you can't go back to radar at all
17.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 2) - 2 of us The buttons on the bottom switch places. It might be helpful to have all the places as buttons as one central bar or a button that pulls up the menu to the different buttons they can push to take them to the specific places.
18.
[H4 Consistency & Standards] (Severity 0) - 1 of us Buttons: Small cosmetic notes, the title says "Leadboard" but the button to get there says "Leaderboard". Also the "Button to Map View" is the only button that has a drop shadow of text, which I thought meant it was something special, but it's just a small thing. On the Radar screen, the buttons are lowercase, which isn't anywhere else.
19.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 3) - 2 of us Will the radar page turn into the AR mining page when you encounter a mining spot? How will the user know? Will there be a push notification? Will the radar screen automatically turn into the AR page and the user will have to cycle through the pages to see if they found something? Will the AR page just show up once they have a mining spot? Several of us didn't know how to get to the screen, and found it by chance.
20.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 0) - 1 of us Leaderboard: "Shop Owner Keys" is a little hard to read, just because of the green on yellow. Also, love the little icons
21.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 2) - 3 of us Under the "buy" and "sell" pages there is a "back" button. If there was a back button standard on more pages it would have been easier to navigate the app.
22.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 0) - 1 of us Trade Screen: Love the icons! I think because you did add these, the font now is a bit small and hard to read, so it would be good to just adjust the size of each "trade" block to accommodate both
23.
[H8 Aesthetic and minimalist design] (Severity 0) - 2 of us Very minimal design, making it easy to read and not throwing so much information to the user.

Recommendations
Streamlining Navigation would make user experience better
Unclear what the "homepage" is
There's different pages that serve their functions, but could just have a central "home" page that just looks pretty and could show the user's avatar
Radar / AR interaction & pages were a bit confusing
Could include a popup notification screen that shows that when you tapped the notification, it would take you to the AR page
A bit more documentation would be helpful in understanding what each screen is.
Could include a tutorial especially for first time users
Unclear how the user's Avatar fit into the game aside from being able to buy cosmetic items. Where does the user go to customize their avatar and where does it show up on other pages?
Concept is fun, refreshing take on what we can do with AR
Appreciated how attuned you all were to your user needs
